Today we will visit Tiananmen Square-largest city square in the world. The Tiananmen Tower on the north side of the square serves as the entrance to Forbidden City. It was the Imperial Palace in Ming and Qing Dynasties and was once home of 24 emperors. A common myth states that there are 9999 rooms in the Palace. Later we will visit Summer Palace-the luxurious garden for the Royal Family. On our way to the Summer Palace, we will visit a pearl store to learn about fresh water pearls.
